The Management Board consists of three members from representatives of state administration bodies, one each from the central state administration body responsible for finance, the central state administration body responsible for foreign affairs and European integration, and the central state administration body responsible for education, five experts from various areas of social development and/or representatives of civil society organizations, i.e. other legal entities whose basic purpose is not to make a profit and one representative of local and regional self-government, in accordance with Article 5, paragraph 3 of the Law on the National Foundation for Civil Society Development.
The Management Board appoints and dismisses the Director of the National Foundation.

6th convocation of the Management Board
At its session on July 3, 2025, the Government of the Republic of Croatia adopted a Decision on the appointment of members of the Management Board of the National Foundation for Civil Society Development in the 6th convocation for the mandate period from 2025 to 2029.
The following were appointed as members of the Management Board of the National Foundation:

At its 1st session held on July 21, 2025, the Management Board of the National Foundation passed a Decision appointing Cvjetana Plavša-Matić, mag. oec., Director of the National Foundation for Civil Society Development for the next four-year term 2025 - 2029.
