Since 2007, through programme cooperation with five specialized organizations – MI Association, Split; SMART – Association for Civil Society Development, Rijeka; Dkolektiv – Organization for Social Development, Osijek; Centre for Civil Initiatives, Zagreb; and ACT Group, Čakovec – the National Foundation for Civil Society Development has been implementing the Regional Development Programme for strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations in Dalmatia, Central Croatia, Northwestern Croatia, and Western and Eastern Croatia.
The programme focuses on providing information, counselling and training to civil society organizations, contributing to their professionalization and effectiveness through the provision of services in cooperation with the National Foundation for Civil Society Development.
The Training Calendar provides an overview of upcoming training sessions in the last quarter of 2026, aimed at developing the capacities of civil society organizations, and is available for download HERE.
By providing comprehensive and continuous support in the areas of information, counselling and training at local and regional levels, the National Foundation contributes to balanced regional development and strengthens the capacities of civil society organizations.
In 2026, the Regional Development Programme is introducing 10 new thematic areas, within which workshops and training sessions will be organized to address the current needs and challenges faced by civil society organizations:

Each partner organization has specified the content of the training sessions within the above thematic areas in accordance with a common framework of action and development priorities, thereby ensuring that the Programme is further tailored to actual needs at the local and regional levels. Participation in training programmes/workshops is free of charge for all civil society organizations, subject to mandatory prior registration for each individual training session.
