Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) has released the World Giving Index, one of the largest studies on giving and philanthropy.
The study provides a better understanding of how people engage in social activities for the betterment of their communities and offers unique insights into broader global trends while advocating for the growth of global giving.
The results show that the increase in global giving observed during the pandemic has generally persisted:
- Throughout the world, 4.2 billion people helped someone they didn't know, volunteered, or donated their time and money for a good cause;
- For the sixth consecutive year, Indonesia is ranked as the most generous nation in the world, with Ukraine in second place and Kenya in third place.
