The National Foundation for Civil Society Development, in collaboration with the European Foundation for Philanthropy and Social Development as the coordinator of the Croatian Foundation Forum ZaDobro.BIT! with 41 members, is once again participating for the eighth time in the celebration of European Day of Philanthropy and Foundations during Philanthropy Week from September 23 to October 1, 2023.
Members of the Croatian Foundation Forum "ZaDobro.BIT!" listed in the event calendar are organizing numerous activities with the aim of motivating as many citizens as possible to contribute to the further development of philanthropy in Croatia.
The central celebration of Philanthropy Week 2023 will be held in Zadar on Friday, September 29, with activities organized in the vicinity of the General Hospital Zadar and the IMPACT - European Center for Intersectoral Cooperation for Sustainable Development.
As part of the central celebration, various interactive activities aimed at children and youth are planned to sensitize and guide them in realizing the importance of philanthropic engagement and their personal contributions to the United Nations' global sustainable development goals. This year, students from 3 schools in Zadar County will participate, including Osnovna škola Stanovi, Osnovna škola Sveti Filip i Jakov, and Klasična gimnazija Ivana Pavla II, who have successfully completed the sCOOLFOOD program this year (Final video).
Three activities will be carried out as part of the central celebration:
*BATHE LIFE IN COLORS
Students from Zadar schools will create a wall mural through the "Bathe Life in Colors" action on the building of the hospital, in collaboration with street artist Mr. Miro Petković Modul;
*CHILDREN FOR CHILDREN WITH HEART PRINTS
Students from lower grades will participate in workshops held at the IMPACT center. Creative workshops "Children for Children with Heart Prints" will focus on making toys to be donated to young patients - children receiving treatment at the General Hospital Zadar;
*FOR THE GREEN HEART OF THE CITY
Children and youth, together with representatives of foundations, will plant donated trees in the vicinity of the General Hospital Zadar to green the surroundings through the "For the Green Heart of the City" campaign.
