The international organization Philea - Philanthropy Europe Association, created by the merger of two European organizations key to the development of philanthropy in an international context: the European Foundation Center (EFC) and Donors and Foundations Networks in Europe - Dafne, has opened the application process for participation in the central event of this year's Philea Forum 2023.
The forum will be held in Šibenik, from May 23 to 25, 2023, in the co-organization of the National Foundation for the Development of Civil Society.
At the Philea Forum, more than 700 representatives of foundations from all over Europe and the world are expected to participate with the mission of strengthening the role of foundations as catalysts of change and builders of bridges between communities, different sectors and generations, connecting and exchanging experiences with the purpose of improving future activities. All participants are involved in the structured content of the Forum (conversations, panels, workshops, study visits), and this year the main theme of the event is presented in the title - A New Compass for Europe.
Ten years after Croatia's entry into the EU, the philanthropic community will gather to assess how it can contribute to the creation of the Europe we need, for the world we want, all this ahead of the second "Summit on the Sustainable Development Goals", which marks the focal point in the implementation Agenda 2030, i.e. one year before the next EU elections.
