Training held in Zadar on implementing the Croatian version of the sCOOLFOOD module within the “Doing Good with a Heartprint” program

A training session for teachers involved in the implementation of the Programme was held on 20 and 21 March 2026 at the IMPACT – European Centre for Cross-Sector Cooperation for Sustainable Development in Zadar, focusing on the implementation of the Croatian version of the sCOOLFOOD module within the “Doing Good with a Heartprint” Programme.

The training was attended by teachers from the fourth generation of schools participating in the implementation of the Croatian version of the sCOOLFOOD module within the “Doing Good with a Heartprint” Programme, from various parts of the Republic of Croatia: Vijenac Primary School from Osijek, Bedenica Primary School, Podturen Primary School – Sivica Branch School, Mursko Središće Primary School, First Primary School Bjelovar, Beletinec Primary School, Ante Starčević Primary School from Lepoglava, Šestine Primary School, Stjepan Radić Primary School from Metković, Ivan Goran Kovačić Primary School from Velika and I. G. Kovačić Primary School Sveti Juraj na Bregu from Lopatinec.

The first day of the training opened with an introductory address by Ms Ines Katić, Assistant for Development, International and Digital Programmes at the National Foundation for Civil Society Development, followed by a presentation by Ms Eva Pavić, Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb, on the topic “Adopting sustainable dietary habits based on whole and environmentally friendly choices, with an understanding of their positive impact on personal health and the environment”. In the second part of the first day, lectures were delivered by Ms Violeta Vragotuk, Principal of Središće Primary School in Zagreb, on the topic “Adopting sustainable communication habits as a tool for developing a responsible attitude towards food, the environment and sustainable lifestyles”, and by Ms Romana Caput-Jogunica, university professor of physical education at the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb, external lecturer at the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb and external associate of the Croatian Olympic Committee, who gave a lecture on the topic “Adopting sustainable habits in the field of physical activity that have a positive impact on health, learning performance and knowledge acquisition, as well as strengthening mental and socio-emotional capacities”.

The second day began with a presentation by Ms Tamara Dabić Kempf, Director of the Makronova Institution, on the topic “Adopting sustainable dietary habits based on whole and environmentally friendly choices, with an understanding of their positive impact on personal health and the environment”, and concluded with a presentation by Ms Božena Stura, school librarian at Stanovi Primary School in Zadar, on the topic “Adopting sustainable communication habits as a tool for developing a responsible attitude towards food, the environment and sustainable lifestyles”.
