On September 1, 2026, a workshop entitled “Digital Tools for Simpler and More Efficient Operations” was held in Drniš as part of the LEADER-CE: LEAding a Digital social Entrepreneurship in Rural areas in Central Europe project, implemented under the Interreg Central Europe Programme.

The aim of the workshop was to identify, through discussions with participants, the specific challenges they face in their day-to-day operations, as well as areas where the use of digital tools could make their work easier and improve their business operations.

The workshop was opened by Cvjetana Plavša-Matić, Managing Director of the National Foundation for Civil Society Development, who presented the LEADER-CE project and the contribution of the National Foundation for Civil Society Development to supporting social innovation and entrepreneurship. This was followed by a presentation by Diana Mudrinić, Director of Trokut Šibenik Technology Incubator, who used concrete examples of good practice to demonstrate the possibilities of using simple digital tools in day-to-day business operations.

Ivana Vudrag, Head of the Administrative Department for Economy, Tourism, Agriculture, Rural Development and EU Funds of Šibenik-Knin County, spoke about support for the development of local entrepreneurship and family farms (OPGs), presenting the “Ajmo lokalno” initiative and other activities of Šibenik-Knin County.

Through discussions with participants, the workshop addressed the problems and challenges they encounter in their day-to-day operations, particularly in the areas of business organisation, customer communication, administration and record-keeping, as well as marketing and visibility. Drawing on their own experiences, participants highlighted their needs and the barriers they face when using digital solutions, and discussed where their application could bring concrete improvements.

The final part of the workshop focused on digitalisation priorities and what local entrepreneurs and family farms (OPGs) need for the successful implementation of digital solutions in practice.

The needs and conclusions identified during the workshop will serve as a basis for planning further LEADER-CE project activities in the Drniš area.

The LEADER-CE project aims to promote the digital transition of social entrepreneurship in rural and peripheral areas of Central Europe. The project will develop and test approaches designed to address the specific needs of local communities and contribute to more effective use of the opportunities offered by digitalisation.
