Participation in the programme “Doing Good with a Heartprint”, implemented through the DoGood People mobile application, was successfully carried out for the fifth consecutive year, in the period from 4 to 21 November 2025. DoGood People is an international platform applicable to all mobile devices and, within the framework of this Programme, has been adapted for group challenges that can be implemented in school settings and are aimed at achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. Group challenges involve engaging students in carrying out specific tasks with the aim of raising awareness among children and young people about the UN’s global Sustainable Development Goals, under the mentorship of their teachers or other persons responsible for leading classes or volunteer groups. Through this innovative application, the promotion of concrete, simple everyday routines for personal and collective contributions to sustainable development is made possible, while participating schools are connected with one another in this way.
In 2025, the implementation of the Programme involved 265 students from second grades of 11 primary schools from different parts of the Republic of Croatia, with a total of 15 teachers providing support to them on their path toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Within the Programme, all active users successfully completed at least 8 out of the total 10 challenges offered, and a total of 326 sustainable actions were carried out. The participating teachers devoted 75 hours to sustainability education with the aim of further transferring knowledge, and more than 80 hours were dedicated to the implementation of sustainable activities.
Through sustainable action, approximately 7.50 kWh of electricity were saved, enough to fully charge a mobile phone battery as many as 167 times! Approximately 10.5 kilograms of waste were reduced, and by completing the challenges, contributions were made toward achieving the following eight Sustainable Development Goals: 1. No Poverty, 5. Gender Equality, 7. Affordable and Clean Energy, 10. Reduced Inequalities, 11. Sustainable Cities and Communities, 12. Responsible Consumption and Production, 15. Life on Land, and 16. Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
