Since 2008, the National Foundation has been awarding the annual award "Otisak srca" for the development of child and youth volunteerism in the Republic of Croatia. The award is given to primary schools for innovative student volunteer initiatives and to secondary schools for innovative models of youth involvement in volunteer activities.
From 2012 to 2014, the National Foundation awarded awards for social innovation to associations and foundations for the most innovative proposals for quality and feasible changes to existing problems in social activities, as well as awards for participatory democracy (from 2008 to 2010), which were awarded to units of local and regional self-government for examples of good practice of cooperation with citizens and civil society organizations.
