Giving Europe (formerly Transnational Giving Europe – TGE) is a European network of philanthropic organizations that enables simple, transparent, and tax-efficient cross-border donations to public-benefit projects and organizations across Europe. The network connects partner organizations from multiple European countries and facilitates donors in supporting non-profit organizations outside their home country, while ensuring compliance with national legal and tax regulations.
The National Foundation for Civil Society Development, in cooperation with the European Foundation for Philanthropy and Society Development, serves as the Croatian partner and coordinator of the Giving Europe network, providing support to donors and civil society organizations from Croatia in implementing cross-border donations.
How Giving Europe Works
Giving Europe operates through a network of partner organizations in each member country:
-
The donor makes a donation to a partner organization in their own country.
-
The partner organization verifies the recipient organization and ensures compliance with legal and tax requirements.
-
The donation is then transferred to the partner organization in the recipient’s country, which forwards the funds to the selected organization or project.
In this way, donors can securely support public-benefit projects in other European countries through a transparent process and with appropriate tax advantages.
Donations from the Republic of Croatia
Donations from the Republic of Croatia to organizations in other member countries of the network can be made via the official Giving Europe platform.
