This year's meeting of Head of Networks (HoN), a component of the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF), was held from January 30 to February 1, 2023 in Marseille. The meeting was organized in cooperation with the coordinator of the French network, and forty participants from thirty countries took part in discussions to assess the activities of ALF in the past period, management challenges and to influence the development of future programs.
The ALF Secretariat and network coordinators worked on strategic aspects of network management as well as new programs, with a strong commitment to dynamizing national networks and ensuring impact at local and regional levels.
The meeting was attended by several representatives of local/regional organizations, including the Région de Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, the Mairie de Marseille and the Délégué Interministériel Adjoint à la Méditerranée, and concrete proposals for future action and cooperation were discussed.
This meeting is considered a milestone in the new action plan towards more participatory practices and fruitful exchanges. The meeting ended with a strong commitment to increasing cooperation on key principles for action such as youth inclusion, equality, climate change and sustainable development. Representatives of the National Foundation for the Development of Civil Society, the coordinator of the Croatian Network for Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation, as a component of the ALF in the Republic of Croatia, also took an active part in the meeting.
